The West Hartford Public Library is looking to build ‘a welcoming community, one book at a time.’

The West Hartford Public Library, in collaboration with the Office of Equity Advancement, has launched a brief survey and is looking for input regarding community building activities that would appeal to residents of all ages and backgrounds.

“West Hartford prides itself on its diverse community, which includes over 65 identified countries of origin and over 70 languages spoken in our schools,” Equity Coordinator Adrienne Billings-Smith said. “West Hartford is committed to being a more inclusive community by bringing all backgrounds, abilities, ages and voices into conversations of building a strong and supportive community.”

Members of the community are asked to complete the brief survey through this link, and share they types of resources they would like to see provided that would be age- and/or culturally-appropriate for themselves and their families.
