Students from West Hartford’s middle schools recently played in the 2017 Unified Sports Middle School Basketball Tournament.

On Monday, March 13, the combined West Hartford Middle School’s Unified Sports basketball team participated in tournament play at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury, CT.
The following middle school students from King Philip, Bristow and Sedgwick competed against teams from throughout the state: Natalie Airas, Samantha Barnett, Janayan Body, Hazel Borio, Alice Brewer, Abby Freda, John Gonzalez, Ryan Gibson,Jack Gustafson, Joonbeom Hong, Nathan Maloy, Hunter Marotto, Brecon Morgan, Cynthia Nyugen,Paige Ort, Ben Patnoe, Maddox Sheff, Eliyaan Shekael, Ella Tanis, Trevor Tanis, Billy Teed, Elizabeth York, and Elizabeth Zehr.
The team practiced Sunday evenings at Sedgwick Middle School throughout January, February and March. High School students from Hall and Conard worked with the middle schoolers providing leadership and coaching .
An end of the year celebration will be held in April culminating a successful soccer and basketball season.
