On the eve of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the Noah Webster Public Library invites the community to an intimate evening with portrait and documentary photographer Virginia “Ginny” Kemp. The event, Book Talk & Signing: We the People – One Town & the Collective Magic of Its Citizens, takes place on Wednesday, June 3 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at the Noah Webster Public Library, 20 S. Main St., West Hartford. Kemp will be interviewed by Jillian Puzzo of River Bend Bookshop.
About the Project
The We the People Project offers a powerful snapshot of West Hartford and its residents – photographed and curated by Kemp through portraits and personal interviews. The project highlights everyday individuals whose courage, creativity, and compassion shape their community through steady, meaningful contributions. While rooted in Central Connecticut, these stories reflect how communities everywhere thrive when people show up for one another and do their part.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A and book signing led by Puzzo. River Bend Bookshop will have copies of the book available for purchase. This event is part of West Hartford’s America 250 Celebration.
