West Hartford Police Arrest Suspect Who Brandished Gun after Pick-Up Basketball Game

A 29-year-old Hartford man who brandished a gun at Sedgwick Middle School was arrested Wednesday.

The West Hartford Police Department investigation of a March 29 incident – where a suspect brandished a gun after a fight that broke out at the end of open-gym basketball event at Sedgwick Middle School – has led to the arrest of a Hartford man.
Police had released several surveillance photos following the incident, which occurred just before 9:30 p.m., and said Wednesday that in conjunction with the Hartford Police Department Capital City Command Center (C4), the suspect was identified as Tyre Jaquan Pinder, 29, of Hartford.
After obtaining a warrant, West Hartford Police took Pinder into custody Wednesday without incident. He has been charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree assault, and second-degree breach of peace.
Pinder is being held on court-set $75,000 bond and will be arraigned at GA #14 in Hartford, police said.
