Members of the West Hartford Police Department, along with the West Hartford Fire Department, responded to a report of an injured child at a Farmington Avenue location around 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Capt. Dan Moffo said.

According to Moffo, it appears as if the child was injured after falling from a third floor window. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.

While police did not provide further details about the extent of the injuries to the child, they said that the child, as well as a parent/guardian, were transported to an area hospital “for evaluation and treatment.”

Police asked that anyone who witnessed the incident or has further information contact them either at the routine phone number (860-523-5203), the confidential tip line (860-570-8969), or via the tip line email [email protected].
