West Hartford Police closed off several roadways late Monday night into early Tuesday morning for an investigation into an apparent shooting.

West Hartford Police said early Tuesday morning that they were actively investigating an incident involving shots fired in the area of Warren Terrace late on Memorial Day.

Assistant Chief Larry Terra said in an email that police responded to multiple reports that shots had been fired at 10:30 p.m.

One victim was located, police said, and was being treated for injuries that were minor and non-life-threatening. Police did not identify the victim or the nature of the injuries, and did not say whether or not there may be other victims.

Police did say there does not appear to be “any active threat to the public.”

Police closed several roadways while the investigation was actively underway, including all of Warren Terrace and West Beacon Street between Prospect Avenue and Tobey Street.
