West Hartford Police Investigating Untimely Death

Police said Tuesday that there is no threat to the public.

West Hartford Police said Tuesday afternoon that they are investigating an untimely death in the 400 block of Prospect Avenue, which is just north of West Beacon Street.

Police did not provide any details about the deceased person, or where or when they were found, but did indicate that this is an isolated incident.

“[T]here is no threat to the public and no road closures,” police said in a social media post Tuesday.

Sgt. Amanda Martin told We-Ha.com that the incident remains under active investigation by the Detective Division and no further specifics can be released at this time.

A large police presence was at the scene and police issued a statement with as much information as they could about the incident because they anticipated there would be questions and concerns.
