West Hartford Police said Friday that the operator of a motorcycle that was involved in a crash with a vehicle last month on Trout Brook Drive has died.

Police said that Christopher J. White, 61, of West Hartford, passed away on April 1, after being critically injured in a collision with a motor vehicle just before 6 p.m. on March 18 near the intersection of Trout Brook Drive and Lawlor Road.

Police received multiple calls regarding the crash of the vehicle and motorcycle, and when they arrived at the scene officers immediately began medical treatment of White, continuing until the West Hartford Fire Department and AMR ambulance personnel arrived to take over. He was transported from the scene to a local hospital via ambulance, and initial reports were that he was in critical condition.

Police on Friday identified the driver of the vehicle as Rushann Campbell, 30, of Hartford. He sustained minor injuries, Sgt. Amanda Martin said.

According to Martin there have not been any charges filed at this time, but the incident remains under investigation by the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Division.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information is asked to please contact the Traffic Division at 860-570-8850.
