West Hartford Police have identified a vehicle that they believe was involved in a shooting early Saturday morning on Farmington Avenue and are asking the public for additional information.
Police said Tuesday that according to their investigation, witnesses reported a disturbance involving approximately six to eight people inside Los Imperios, which is located at 904 Farmington Ave. “It is believed that the incident escalated to a shooting after the two arguing groups left the club,” police said in a statement.
Following the report of multiple shots fired just before 2 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the scene and found more than a dozen shell casings in the vicinity of 889 Farmington Ave., right down the street from Los Imperios. Several cars parked in the area, which police said did not appear to be involved in the incident, had damage from bullets. As of Saturday, police did not have evidence that any individuals had been shot.
Police are searching for a tan or silver Cadillac, shown in the surveillance photo, which they believe was involved in the incident, and would like to speak with the owner of the vehicle. The Cadillac likely has numerous bullet holes in it, police said.
The Cadillac was last seen headed east on Farmington Avenue toward Hartford.
Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has cellphone images or video from inside or outside the club, contact West Hartford Police Det. Sgt. Anthony Anderle at 860-570-8873.
