West Hartford’s Department of Public Works will have extended Saturday customer hours on four Saturdays in May and June.

West Hartford’s Department of Public Works will hold special Saturday customer service hours for permit pick-up and purchase from 7 a.m. to noon on May 10, May 17, June 14, and June 21, 2025.

Permits may be purchased online for pick up at Public Works, or can be purchased in person at Public Works with a credit card, Wednesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office is closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Please have your vehicle registration on hand when picking up the permit. Commercial or out-of-town vehicles are not allowed.

Permits may also be picked up or purchased at the Public Works customer service window, Wednesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office is closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Day permits are available on an exception basis.

The Yard Waste & Recycling Center is open for the season on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon (last vehicle accepted at 11:45 a.m.).
