Perhaps you have one of these questions – or a similar one – about your family history. Perhaps a branch of your family tree is largely unexplored and you’d like to know more. Perhaps you’ve seen one of the popular genealogy TV shows and have wondered if YOU could participate in something like that.
The answer to all of these questions may be closer than you think. Dr. Christa Bolen, certified genealogist and West Hartford resident, in conjunction with the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society, presents “Curbside Genealogy,” a unique opportunity to participate in a genealogy event.
How? Sign up for the Zoom program and fill out Dr. Bolen’s genealogical (https://bit.ly/3hXEo4e) to be entered for possible selection. Dr. Bolen will choose several attendees for whom she will conduct preliminary research, the findings of which will be presented during the Zoom program on Sept. 24. Please complete the genealogical survey by Sept. 14 in order to be considered for selection.
Regardless of whether your genealogy is selected or not, please join Dr. Bolen’s live Zoom presentation hosted by the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020. The presentation will feature research and findings including found documents, photographs, newspaper articles, and other historically significant information. Even she’s not talking specifically about your family, Dr. Bolen will offer great tips and tools of the trade to get to the bottom of your own family mystery.

The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is a not-for-profit museum and cultural destination where citizens can learn to understand and appreciate the past.
