Community service is important! Just like the last-minute gift-giver, there is always a child somewhere that won’t get a toy or gifts for Christmas. With that in mind, West Hartford’s St. Brigid-St. Augustine students held a last minute toy collection rally for WRCH’s Christmas Wish campaign. The toys benefitted children who might otherwise not have received anything for Christmas.

“There is always someone who is forgotten at Christmastime. Our students are so blessed. They decided to collect extra toys for children who may not receive anything at all this Christmas,” stated Principal Shevon Hickey.

Hickey continued, “Sometimes it is the last minute gift that can make the difference for a family who possibly couldn’t afford to purchase anything.”
