West Hartford Students Recognized at CAS Elementary Celebration of the Arts

Students from two West Hartford elementary schools were honored Tuesday for achievements in the arts.

Bugbee Principal Kelly Brouse and Wolcott Principal Scott Dunn accompanied several of their students, as well their families and art and music teachers to the CAS Elementary Celebration of the Arts, held Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Aquaturf in Plantsville.

Students from elementary schools across the state were honored and celebrated at the event for their achievements in the arts. At the event, CT Kid Governor Ellie Mendez spoke to the crowd, and New London’s Flock Theater presented six types of puppets.

Wolcott students honored were Makayla Broege, Mariah Perry, and Kamran Batchelder. Bugbee students Mika Burke and Brielle Worrell were also honored.
