You may not recognize the local “models” in the Formal Wear Fashion Show on Thursday night because they will be all gussied up, courtesy of Oscars TUX, Argelia Novias Bridal, BK&Co., hair by BLO West Hartford, and additional accessories from Ten Thousand Villages. The show runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in West Hartford Center and is the “kick-off” for the West Hartford Center Sale Days weekend.

Wait, there’s more.

Oscars TUX will be giving fun “swag bags” to the first 150 people in attendance on Thursday night. Bag to include a bow tie and cuff link and stud set, and more surprises.

The idea behind these fashion shows in West Hartford Center is to “bring the pages of West Hartford Magazine to life,” according to Oscar Sosa, owner of Oscars TUX. “We were thrilled to have our clothing in the magazine, and are thrilled to be a part of this live community activity.”

Oscar, and his wife Kelli, along with Oscar’s brother Ody and his wife Santina Sosa of Argelia Novias Bridal have a true knack for “dressing up” the West Hartford community and they love bringing joy and fun to galas, weddings and formal events. Their shops are located on New Park Avenue, West Hartford.

When the models take to the showmobile stage on Thursday night, you’ll see Jake Alonzo, Edward Henzi, Peter Hoye, John Daniel Litis, Libby Moran, Santiago Persano, Kevin Rodriguez, Steven Rodriguez, Julia Silverman, Amanda Sosa, Lauren Sosa, Oscar Sousa III, Ricky Sosa, and Santina Sosa.

Refreshments by Hartford Baking Company and crepe’s from La Petite France will also be available. Don’t miss it… read more here, and scroll down for the poster of events for the rest of the weekend.
