Seven long-term Connecticut lawmakers are retiring this year, and at least six current lawmakers are running for other positions in November. In all, 18 lawmakers will not be seeking reelection this year.

Some of the races for now-open districts look to be hotly contested, and political party makeup of both chambers may change as voters usher in new candidates in November.
