On the evening of March 28, Wolcott Elementary School opened its doors to more than 400 community members for the first ever International Night.

Families gathered to celebrate and learn about the diversity within the school, as well as the diversity within our world.

Proud family members displayed information about their heritage, while dressed in traditional clothing. Students learned from their classmates, while tasting each others’ traditional foods from throughout the world.

The evening ended with several on-stage performances, some of which included traditional Mexican, Nepali, Colombian, and Irish dances, German piano pieces, and Swedish fiddle songs.

The evening was filled with community camaraderie, fellowship, pride, and joy. The enthusiasm we all felt was contagious and smiles were worn by all!
