Social Studies for Wolcott Elementary School’s fourth grade class recently included a field trip to the Capitol and the CT History Museum in Hartford.

These students toured the Legislative Office Building and learned about the three branches of government (legislative, judicial and executive) and how a bill becomes a law. The students were able to sit in the “wishing chair” that was from the famous Charter Oak tree.

The tour continued at the CT History Museum where the students went on a scavenger hunt to learn about the history of our state.
