The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District has scheduled another COVID-19 booster clinic, at Conard High School (110 Beechwood Road), on Friday, Nov. 19, from 3-6 p.m.
More than 300 people attended a booster clinic at Conard High School last week, said Renée McCue, public relations specialist for the Town of West Hartford.
To be eligible to receive a booster you must wait 6 months after receiving your second dose of Moderna or Pfizer, or 2 months after receiving the single-shot Johnson & Johnson (Janssen).
Pre-registration is not required, however, it is recommended that your register through your VAMS account.
Attendees are also asked to bring their insurance cards, identification, as well as their original CDC vaccine card. Replacement cards will be issued to those who have lost their cards.
In addition, according to Andy Moore, Assistant Superintendent for Administration for West Hartford Public Schools, an additional set of walk-in clinics will be held once again at both Charter Oak International Academy (425 Oakwood Ave.) and Whiting Lane School (47 Whiting Lane), from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, where children ages 5-11 can receive an initial pediatric dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Morrow said additional staff will be mobilized for this week’s pop-up clinics, which utilize the state Department of Public Health (DPH) mobile yellow vans and are operated by Griffin Health. A full schedule of DPH pop-up clinics can be found here.
