Calling all ghosts, goblins, princesses, super heroes, and other costumed characters!
Children of all ages are invited to spend a fun morning at the annual Moms & More Club of West Hartford’s Halloween Stroll, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., in West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square.
There will be a wide variety of activities for kids, as well as adults, to enjoy. Local bands will be playing kid-friendly music, local sports mascots will be strolling the streets and posing for photos, there will be face painting, a fire truck will be available for climbing aboard, and there will be crafts, games, prizes, and food galore. Radio Station 96.5 TI FM will be onsite in Blue Back Square with a car trunk full of treats and giveaways.
Candy will be in plentiful supply as well, courtesy of generous merchants throughout town.
All festivities are free, and activities will be organized in “stations” on LaSalle Road, Farmington Avenue, South Main Street, Memorial Road, and Isham Road. Participants can begin whenever and wherever they like.
A special “Little Pumpkins” area will be designated in the REI parking lot off Raymond Road. Designed for children ages 3 and younger, it will be fully secured.
Be sure to allow plenty of time to locate a parking space as this popular event traditionally draws thousands. Parking is available at Town Hall, in the garages on Isham and Memorial roads, and in the Town Center building on South Main Street, as well as in the municipal lots on Brace Road and LaSalle Road.
The Halloween Stroll is produced in collaboration with the Town of West Hartford, the West Hartford Center Business Association, Blue Back Square, West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, and Becker’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry.
