On Sept. 20, 2020, Ball 4 A Cure Inc. will host its first golf outing at Simsbury Farms Golf Course. With a mission to unite communities to support the patients and families of pediatric cancer, Ball 4 a Cure aims to use sport as a vehicle to positively transform lives.

The inaugural “Golf 4 a Cure” is designed to bring our community together to raise awareness and proceeds which will improve the continuum of care and quality of life for those at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Support raised through this action-packed event will directly go to financial priorities needed due to COVID-19 impact on Connecticut children. This event will also continue to jumpstart an internal organizational-led fund within the hospital.

Following current Connecticut guidelines and responsible event planning, the 6th Annual Ball 4 a Cure basketball tournament has been postponed and substituted with Golf 4 a Cure – a manageable and safe opportunity for our community to show continual support.

Golf 4 a Cure registration is now open as a ticketed event accessible to all, but with limited capacity. To ensure team availability get your foursome signed up in advance through the website ball4acure.org.

Ball 4 a Cure’s first golf outing is additionally seeking business and foundational support through sponsorship. Business support means more than brand recognition; sponsoring this tournament allows us to improve the livelihood of the neighbors in your community. We ask that you see the value in our organization and join us out on the course as we bring awareness and support to childhood cancer in our state.

Ball 4 a Cure Inc. is an officially 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is bound to unite communities to support the patients and families of pediatric cancer. It was founded in 2015 by seven local West Hartford individuals who sought to do something with their community for their community. Together, built by event participants, Ball 4 a Cure has effectively raised over $35,000 to directly support the need of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
