On Friday, Nov. 8, Ballet Hartford offered a free movement class and Holiday Happenings showing for young children and their families at the public library in West Hartford.
With their curious minds and sheer delight, the room was filled with smiles and awe.
Ballet Hartford returns to West Hartford later this month, on Saturday, Nov. 30, with a 7:30 p.m. performance at the University of Saint Joseph’s Hoffman Auditorium. Tickets are now on sale to celebrate this holiday season with Ballet Hartford … featuring “Holiday Happenings” choreographed by Leyna Doran and “A Ceremony of Carols” choreographed by Claire Kretzschmar.
Kretzschmar, a former soloist with the New York City Ballet, is the Artistic Director of Ballet Hartford. Next month, Ballet Hartford embarks on a three-state tour, performing “A Ceremony of Carols” in New York City, Philadelphia, and Winston-Salem, NC. The holiday season ballet had its debut last December in West Hartford.
