To the Editor:

Every year around September 11, we rightly take time to remember the lives lost that day. Alongside that grief, I always find myself thinking about September 12. That morning, people across the country woke up with a rare sense of unity and shared purpose.

I see that same mindset every day in the West Hartford Police Department. Day in and day out, our local officers show up with quiet professionalism and steady patience to keep our neighborhoods safe. Their work is a daily reminder of what community care looks like in practice.

To the officers and staff at WHPD: Thank you for your dedication to West Hartford. Your presence and hard work do not go unnoticed, and our town is safer because of you.
