Bicyclist Injured After Collision with Vehicle in West Hartford

West Hartford Police said a bicyclist was transported to the hospital on Sunday afternoon following the incident.

A bicyclist was was injured and transported to an area hospital after being struck by a vehicle in West Hartford on Sunday afternoon, police said.
According to Capt. Aaron Vafiades, police responded to the incident at approximately 4:47 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, after receiving notification of the crash in the area of 16 Tumblebrook Road.
The bicyclist was an adult female, Vafiades said, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment, he said.
The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said.
No further details were provided regarding the victim, or regarding any injuries to the driver.
Vafiades said the roadway was closed briefly.
