The Bridge Family Center is now accepting applications for its acclaimed Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI).
The free 20-week program combines advocacy, leadership, and citizenship skills into a curriculum to foster the best interests of children. Participants learn how they can impact the political system and become effective advocates for children. They will complete a project they are passionate about and attend both a local and statewide graduation.
The program is run by the Family Resource Center beginning in January, and is open to parents, grandparents, guardians, or people who live or work in West Hartford and care about kids.
Meetings will be held at the Charter Oak International Academy on Wednesday evenings. Family dinner is served and child care is provided for children 4 years and older.
