Children’s Museum Offers 90-Cent Admission to West Hartford Residents

In honor of its 90th anniversary, The Children’s Museum will hold a 90-cent Night for West Hartford residents on Friday, May 19.

West Hartford residents are invited to join The Children’s Museum’s 90th year celebration!

On Friday, May 19 ,The Children’s Museum will be open extended hours from 5 to 8 p.m. just for residents! West Hartford residents can pay 90 cents each or make a donation for the Museum.

Bring the family and tour the Museum’s latest exhibit “Dinosaurs in your Backyard: A Portal to Past Worlds.” Meet the animals of the Wildlife Sanctuary, take in the planetarium shows, and learn about all the Museum has to offer year round – including hands-on exhibits, planetarium shows, vacation camps, birthday parties, scout activities, field trips, traveling science education programs, and special events.

The Children’s Museum continues its legacy as a premier S.T.E.A.M. education center integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. The Museum would like to thank its event sponsors, Harry’s Bishop’s Corner and Luna Pizza.

The Children’s Museum Preschool will also be open for tours from 5-8 p.m. Join the excitement as children at the preschool explore and participate in a variety of activities which are designed to awaken their curiosity and facilitate discovery of the world around them. Learn about the play-based philosophy with experienced educators, weekly museum lessons and visits, flexible full-day and part-day options, S.T.E.A.M. focused with effective student/teacher ratios.

The Children’s Museum and Roaring Brook Nature Center are the region’s premiere destinations for exploration and education. Home to over 100 live animals, the Museum features hands-on exhibits, out-of-this-world digital planetarium shows, and programs for young children and families.
