As a no. 2 seed Conard was technically a favorite in the Class L quarterfinal Thursday afternoon, but any lacrosse game against an FCIAC team, where the competition is always fierce, is a challenge.

Conard met that challenge head on Thursday in a come-from-behind 13-10 win over Greenwich at home at Conard’s McKee Stadium.

Conard captain Tessa Sinatro scored 5 goals in the victory. Junior Marisa Haverty had a hat trick.

Another FCIAC team, Darien, will be Conard’s next opponent. The Chieftains will face the third-seeded Blue Wave on Tuesday, June 9, at a time and place TBD.
