Conard Football Alumni Square Off in College Duel

Two former teammates from West Hartford’s Conard High School were on opposite sides of the field when their colleges faces each other on Saturday.

Michael Fisher, a senior right tackle for the  Saint Lawrence University Saints and 2013 graduate of Conard High School opposed Ryan Bell, sophomore linebacker for the University of Rochester Yellowjackets and 2015 Conard graduate on Oct. 8 at Fauver Stadium in Rochester, NY.

Fisher has been the starting right tackle for the Saint Lawrence Saints since his sophomore year helping the Saint’s offense to consistently perform atop of the Liberty League. While at Conard, Fisher played offensive and defensive line and was a captain for the Chieftains his senior season.

Bell has started every game for the Yellowjackets this season as an outside linebacker averaging five tackles a game after his freshman season at quarterback. Bell played quarterback for the Chieftains and was a 2015 captain.

Saint Lawrence, currently nationally ranked twenty second in the American Football Coaches Association division three poll, downed Rochester 48-13.
