After months of preparation and testing, The Content Lab @ West Hartford Coworking will celebrate its Grand Opening on Dec. 13, 2019, as part of the Connecticut Bloggers Collective annual holiday party.
Dr. Lisa Wisniewski, a sociology professor, has already purchased a block of time to use the lab upon opening. “I think The Content Lab is a great idea because it allows bloggers and small business owners to access resources they need to create the content their business thrives on,” said Wisniewski, a blogger herself under Belle’s Notebook, and author of “Progress Not Perfection: A Millennial’s Story,” a non-fiction, self-published title focused on helping others navigate career and family life in our modern world. Wisniewski plans to create a podcast series in line with her book, expanding upon key topics and chapters with the help of guest interviews.
“This region is filled with people amazing people just like Lisa whose stories and experiences need an outlet,” said Annisa Teich, co-owner and managing director of West Hartford Coworking, “We are honored to be an outlet and service provider in bringing these stories to life.”
The Content Lab is an approximately 16-by-18-foot space situated as one of the exterior offices. The flexible space boasts tons of natural light, which can be blocked as needed, as well as two podcast microphones with sound-absorbing shields; an iPad, a smartphone and iPad compatible stand; custom sound dampening; a ring light on a stand; pull-down backdrops; photography and videography tools, and customizable luxurious lounge-style furniture including a couch, modifiable decor, and accessories. The Content Lab is rented like a conference room at West Hartford Coworking, with an hourly rate of $60. Equipment needs can be determined at the time of booking.
Uncommon Content, a new podcast by veteran storyteller Nan Price will also launch to the public alongside the Grand Opening on all major podcast channels. Those interested in subscribing are encouraged to visit www.uncommoncontent.co to sign up for news and notifications.
Alongside space and equipment, Teich also announced an official partnership with her firm The Small Business Collective, which will offer those renting the space with branding, pre- and post-production, as well as a distribution strategy for those without an agency or full-time marketing staff.
The space will be available for hourly bookings for those who have already taken advantage of their pre-sale discount – 5 hours for the price of 3 – currently available at westhartfordcoworking.com/content-lab.
