The Moms & More Club of West Hartford has postponed the 2023 Halloween Stroll to Sunday, Oct. 22. [Updated, Oct. 18]

The sidewalks of West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square and the front lawn of Town Hall are expected to be packed on Sunday morning, Oct. 22, the new date for the annual Halloween Stroll, when costumed kids are invited to enjoy free outdoor trick-or-treating.
“To our disappointment, the weather on Saturday does not at all look conducive to the stroll,” Marsha Jacobskind of the Moms & More Club, which organizes the event, said Wednesday. “We have worked closely with the town, public works, and the police department to coordinate moving the event to Sunday. We thank all participanting strollers and participating businesses for their understanding in this necessary change!”
Pint-sized ghosts and goblins, pumpkins and skeletons, superheroes, ghouls, and animated characters are all expected to attend.
Many parents and caregivers – as well as some friendly pups – will likely be decked out in costume as well.
The annual Halloween Stroll, organized by the Moms & More Club of West Hartford and with the support of many business sponsors, will now be held on Sunday, Oct. 22 – which was the preset rain date – from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Information about sponsorship opportunities can be found here.
Live entertainment, sponsored by Blue Back Square, will include the kid-favorite band Sunny Train.
Many participating retailers are also offering special discounts and promotions on the day of the Stroll.
Founded in 2001, Moms & More is a volunteer-run West Hartford-based parent organization designed to meet the needs of parents and children of West Hartford and the surrounding communities.
