Seasonal fun is ripe for picking at The New Children’s Museum.

On Oct. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m., join us for some ghoulish Halloween family fun. Children can trick-or-treat around the museum for spooky prizes and learn about buoyancy from a shipwrecked pirate. From hauntingly fun take-home crafts to a special Planetarium show, there’s something for everyone. $2 for members/$7 for non-members.

In commemoration of Election Day, we invite you to make your vote count. Leading up to Nov. 4, you will get the chance to vote on The New Children’s Museum Facebook page for your favorite planetarium show. On Election Day, the winning show will be free. Don’t forget to stop by for the show and voting themed activities going on that day. Activities and the winning planetarium show are included in your paid admission.

On Veteran’s Day weekend, in honor of our service men and women, all veterans and active duty military personnel will receive free admission and any of their guests receive half off admission. Valid military ID are required to receive the discount.

The museum is home to over 100 live animals, including the now famous Fennec foxes, hands-on science exhibits, out-of-this-world digital planetarium shows, and programs for younger children and families. The Children’s Museum and Roaring Brook Nature Center are the region’s premiere destinations for science and nature exploration.

The Children’s Museum is located at 950 Trout Brook Dr. in West Hartford and at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton. More information is available at www.TheChildrensMuseumCT.org.
