Jewish agencies, synagogues, and organizations come together to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel with a year-long celebration, featuring a diverse range of events and activities that will educate, inspire, and engage the community. The celebration will highlight Israel’s rich history and traditions, as well as her modern-day contributions to the world. Events will range from art exhibits, musical performances, guest speakers, and film screenings, among others.

The Israel at 75 year-long celebration has been made possible by a generous grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, which has been instrumental in supporting our Jewish community’s cultural events and programs for five decades.

“Israel’s 75th anniversary is a milestone for the Jewish community and a celebration of the country’s remarkable achievements,” says Mandell JCC’s CEO David Jacobs. “We’re excited to join in the festivities and offer our community a chance to come together and recognize this historic occasion. And we are grateful to the trustees of the Jewish Community Foundation for their support”

“It’s our privilege to support this wonderful smorgasbord of Israel at 75 programs that celebrate the remarkable people, food and culture of the Jewish State,” says Jacob Schreiber, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Community Foundation. “Israel is central to Jewish peoplehood and these programs help build deeper connections to our brothers and sisters in the Middle East.”
