Hall Hockey Seniors Shine on Senior Night with 9-0 Shutout

The Hall High School boys hockey team hosted Tri-Town on Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Rink in West Hartford on Senior Night.

With the emotions of their final regular season home game running high, Hall’s seniors didn’t just soak in the moment – they put it all on the ice and dominated in a 9-0 rout of Tri-Town.
Before puck drop, seniors Zack Gerken (#12), Declan Stone (#14), Billy DeBassio (#5), and Tommy Finley (#4) were honored, and once the game started, they made sure the celebration continued on the scoreboard. And if there was ever a night to pad the stat sheet, this was it – nearly everyone got in on the action.
Finley led the charge with his second hat trick of the season, adding two assists, while Stone chipped in with a goal and an assist.
Sophomore Ben Putnam had a standout performance of his own with two goals and three assists, while Connor McHugh found the net twice and added an assist. But not to steal the senior’s moment, the night’s biggest milestone belonged to freshman Jack Hanrahan, who scored his first career goal.
Assists came from all over the roster, with Jack Croce, Sawyer Hollander, Charlie Ganey, Matthew McDermott, and Tommy Leahy all setting up scores.
Up next for Hall is a rematch with E.O. Smith to close out the regular season, Saturday at 8 p.m. at Toscano Family Ice Forum in Storrs.
