Hall Hosts Track and Field Jamboree

West Hartford’s Hall High School was the site of a track and field jamboree held Friday afternoon.

On a blazing hot day, Hall High School hosted the Hall Spring Break Jamboree Track and Field Meet.

In addition to the host school, teams from Avon, Glastonbury, Norwich Free Academy, Simsbury, and Xavier took part in the Friday afternoon meet.

Junior Shawn Middleton doubled in the 100 and 200 meters for Hall, and the Hall boys 4×400 meter relay team of Fareed Abu Rabia, Jonathan York, Samuel Sandler, and Isaac Mahler led a first, third, and fifth place finish for the Titans.

Other winners for the home squad include Rowan Ivens (girls high jump), Jacob Walters (boys javelin), Madeline Peterson (girls javelin), Maya McMillian (girls long jump), Duncan Caruk (boys pole vault), Madison Vargas (girls shotput), and Mark Zadi (boys triple jump).
