A balanced offensive effort, dominant pitching, and timely defensive plays powered the Hall baseball team to an impressive 7-4 victory on Monday, as contributions came from all areas of the field in a complete, well-executed performance.

At the plate, Quinn O’Neill led the charge, finishing 2-for-4 with two RBIs. O’Neill consistently came through in key moments, helping to set the tone for an offense that capitalized on its opportunities throughout the game.

Tommy Hussey also played a major role offensively, going 1-for-3 while driving in two runs of his own. His ability to produce in clutch situations added to the team’s early and sustained momentum.

Matthew Panarella continued the offensive push with an efficient 2-for-3 performance, adding an RBI and consistently putting pressure on the opposing defense. James Alerte matched that production, also going 2-for-3 with an RBI, showing discipline at the plate and delivering when it mattered most.

Louis Sauer rounded out the scoring contributions, finishing 1-for-3 with an RBI to help extend the lead and keep the lineup moving.

On the mound, the pitching staff delivered in crucial moments to maintain control of the game. Grant Davidson highlighted the effort with a dominant outing in the top of the fourth inning, striking out all three batters he faced in a flawless 1-2-3 frame. His command and efficiency shut down any momentum the opposition was trying to build. Later in the game, Matthew LaBreck matched that composure in the sixth inning, recording a strikeout during a perfect inning of his own while keeping the opposing lineup off balance.

Defensively, Hall made several standout plays that proved to be difference-makers. Hussey showcased his athleticism in the field with two diving catches – one in the second inning and another in the fourth – each coming at critical moments to prevent extra-base hits and halt potential rallies. His defensive efforts energized the team and preserved the lead.

As the game reached its final moments, the defense delivered one last time. With the outcome on the line, Jeffery Niman stepped up and made a clutch catch to end the game, sealing the victory and punctuating a strong all-around performance.

In total, the win reflected a complete team effort by the Titans. From timely hitting and disciplined at-bats to efficient pitching and impactful defense, every phase contributed to the outcome. Performances like this not only highlight the team’s depth but also reinforce its ability to execute under pressure and finish games strong.

Hall (5-3) will travel to face South Windsor on Wednesday, and will be back home next Monday, April 27, to host crosstown West Hartford rival Conard at 4 p.m.
