After the busy holiday season, a renewing weekend retreat may be just what the doctor ordered! Holy Family looks forward to welcoming men and women at one of their upcoming weekend retreats scheduled for January 2015. The women’s weekend retreat will be held Jan. 2-4, and the men’s weekend retreats are scheduled for Jan. 9-11, Jan. 16-18, and Jan. 30-Feb. 1.

Themed “Know Greater Joy,” the weekend explores how individuals can discover deep and enduring joy in God’s presence no matter the situation. It looks at ways to cultivate resilience amid life’s inevitable challenges and examines the central spiritual insights necessary to experiencing lasting joy.

Holy Family weekend retreats are presented by the center’s dynamic team of spiritual teachers, who bring a wealth of experience, theological education, and inspiration to attendees’ spiritual journeys. The retreat team is renowned throughout the region for their compassion, humor, and unwavering acceptance of all who come to the campus in search of rest and transformation.

In addition to stimulating conferences and workshops, attendees also enjoy home-cooked meals, original music, free time to rest and walk the beautiful grounds and labyrinth, and healing arts therapies (additional cost). The weekend begins with dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday and concludes with Sunday brunch at noon. The offering to attend is $295.

Holy Family Retreat Center is located at 303 Tunxis Road in West Hartford. For more information or to register, call 860-760-9705 or visit www.holyfamilyretreat.org.  Additional men’s and women’s weekend retreats are scheduled through June 2015.  The complete list of dates is available on the website or by calling the center.
