‘The Joy of Easter’ concert will be held April 29 at Holy Family in West Hartford.
Easter may be behind us, but the joy of Easter is not! On Saturday, April 29, Holy Family Retreat Center in West Hartford will host its annual springtime musical celebration titled, “The Joy of Easter: A Concert.” It’s the 27th year that Holy Family has been offering an Easter concert, and all are welcome.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the main chapel and will feature more than 60 vocalists, 20 instrumentalists, an adult choir, chamber choir, handbell choir, and children’s choir. A live stream of the concert will be available as an alternative for those who may not be able to join in person. A reception follows the concert in the retreat center dining room.
“Music has the power to lift our spirits and cultivate compassion within our hearts,” said Fr. David Cinquegrani, director of Holy Family Retreat Center. “Our Easter Concert is a delightful and relaxing way for all to enjoy our wonderful choirs as we celebrate the hope and beauty of the season.”
The offering to attend the concert in person is $50, $25 to view online. To register or for more information, call 860-760-9705 or visit the Holy Family website at www.holyfamilyretreat.org. Advance registration is strongly recommended as the concert typically sells out.
