For one day only, on Sunday, June 29th, West Hartford Center was transformed into a virtual car gallery with an impressive display of vintage, exotic and modern Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis and Alfa Romeos. Approximately 130 Italian cars gathered on LaSalle Road for the 14th Annual “Concorso Ferrari & Friends,” with these common goals: to raise funds and generate smiles on the faces of the patients at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC). This year’s fundraising event specifically supported the state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Care Center at CCMC.

Cars came from as far away as Baltimore, Florida and Maine to support this important cause. 40 young children from CCMC received shirts and hats and other gifts, but the biggest thrill was having a ride in a fancy sports car during the “Parade of Kids,” which brought the children to CCMC in Farmington, and back to LaSalle Road. One patient exclaimed, “this is the best day of my life,” after his ride.

Funds were raised via sponsorships and a silent auction.
