ITNCentralCT is pleased to announce the appointment of Evelyn Mantilla as its new executive director, effective July 1, 2024. She succeeds Kevin Farmer, retiring after a distinguished tenure of 10 years leading the organization.

Mantilla brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and policy advocacy. Her deep commitment to social justice and extensive background in public service make her an ideal leader to advance ITNCentralCT’s mission of providing dignified transportation options for seniors and visually impaired individuals.

Kevin Farmer, the retiring executive director, enthusiastically supported Mantilla’s appointment. “It has been an honor to serve ITNCentralCT for the past 10 years, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together,” said Farmer. “Evelyn is a visionary leader with a proven track record of fostering community partnerships and driving organizational growth. I am confident she will lead ITNCentralCT to new heights and ensure our services remain accessible and impactful for those who rely on us.”

Mantilla expressed her excitement about joining ITNCentralCT. “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead such a vital organization and build on the incredible work that Kevin and the team have accomplished,” said Mantilla. “I look forward to collaborating with the board, staff, and community partners to enhance our transportation services and support the independence and well-being of our member riders.”

Mantilla’s extensive career includes serving as a Connecticut state representative, where she was known for advocating for marginalized communities. Her leadership roles in various nonprofits have demonstrated her ability to drive meaningful change and foster inclusive environments.

As ITNCentralCT welcomes Evelyn Mantilla, the organization also thanks Kevin Farmer for his years of dedicated service and leadership.
