Families can enjoy inflatables and fun activities at the first annual Back to School Drive on Sunday, Aug.16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Community-focused Jewish Family Services and West Hartford’s Mandell Jewish Community Center are sponsoring this event at the Swim and Tennis Club at 4 Duncaster Rd., Bloomfield.

Price of admission is school supplies for children in need. “I can’t think of a better way to teach my children about giving back than to have them share the gift of learning with children who are less fortunate. Every child deserves the opportunity to feel prepared and have the tools they need for a successful school year,” said Pia Rosenberg Toro, event co-chair.

“We are excited to be partnering with the JCC to bring this fun event to the community,” announced Anne Danaher, JFS executive director. Folks can enjoy the pool, tennis courts, playgrounds, inflatables, a gaga pit, and more!

Danaher added, “Together we embrace this opportunity to make a difference.”
