To the Editor:

A Connecticut Party of West Hartford wants to ensure our schools are safe and well ventilated. If the current pandemic has shown us, we need to ensure that our children and teachers have a safe environment to teach and learn.  We need to use monies provided through the American Rescue Plan to fund the upgrades needed at our schools. During the last budget proposal, the Board of Education requested that the timetable be accelerated. However, the majority party decided it was best to delay the implementation of these needed upgrades by an additional 5 years.

We want to provide solutions and ideas for all of West Hartford. We cannot delay. This needs to be a priority as our children’s and teacher’s health and safety are of the utmost concern.

A Connecticut Party of West Hartford is a party that reflects fiscally conservative values and promotes dialogue on social issues. Our community is diverse and engaged. We require a centrist view on how to approach governing. The current dynamics of our national and state political landscape needs a break from the political divide and have a voice that is based on moderate, mainstream perspectives and respect for different views all while creating unity.

Together Today, Better Tomorrow.
