Derek Slap’s candidacy for State Representative 19th Assembly District represents a unique combination of backgrounds and skills. His prior work for the Senate Democrats has given him practical experience and insights into getting things done in state government. His career in journalism has taught him the importance of transparency, candor and accuracy. And the fact that he has the backing of former Representative Brian Becker all add up to giving him the ethics and experience that we need in our next legislature. Voters of Avon, Farmington and West Hartford will be well served by this very deserving candidate.
