To the Editor:
I am writing this letter to express my enthusiastic support for the candidacy of Jillian Gilchrest for Representative from the 18th District in the Connecticut State Legislature.
Jillian has advocated for all citizens in her tenure as a Board of Education member, and especially so for children, the lifeblood of our community and future. She consistently supports racial justice, gender equality and ways to control gun violence. Additionally, in this charged political atmosphere, Jillian listens respectfully and thoughtfully to others’ views, understanding that all constituents must be heard.
Our state is in a precarious financial condition. Jillian is committed to researching, developing and working with others to find and execute solutions to our economic problems.
As a long-time resident of West Hartford (50+ years), I look forward to voting for Jillian Gilchrest in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
