Dear Editor,

As we approach November 8th Election Day, the voters in Connecticut will be making their selection as to who will serve as Connecticut’s next Secretary of the State.

For me, the choice is clear – Stephanie Thomas. Her three decades of experience as a small business owner will serve us well – she understands the needs and the expectations of our business community.

She is a problem-solver who is up to the task of running the Office of the Secretary of the State in an effective and efficient manner. I am confident that Stephanie will employ her business acumen and her legislative experience, as well as her keen leadership skills to the Office of the Secretary of the State. Connecticut needs a leader who knows how to streamline business processes and understands the significance of maintaining accurate business records and Stephanie Thomas is the best choice to accomplish these tasks.

In addition, her role in the Connecticut legislature as vice chair of the Government Administration and Elections Committee has prepared her for the duties and responsibilities of being Secretary of the State. Stephanie is enthusiastic about supporting initiatives such as early voting and no-excuse absentee ballot voting. Stephanie understands the importance of voting; she will continue her work to make voting more accessible to all Connecticut residents and she will work hard to thwart efforts to limit our right to cast our ballots for our elected representatives.

And lastly, Stephanie understands that our democracy is stronger when citizens can participate and be active participants in our government. She will work tirelessly to foster civic engagement. She is a consensus builder and will strive to make the Office of the Secretary of the State the best in the nation.

Please join me in supporting Stephanie Thomas as Connecticut’s next Secretary of the State.
