To the Editor:

I am proud to offer my enthusiastic support for Tiffani McGinnis for State Representative of the 18th District.

I have had the pleasure of working closely with Tiffani since she joined the West Hartford Town Council in 2023. Throughout her service, including her leadership as Chair of the Community Planning and Economic Development Committee and her work on the Public Safety Committee, she has consistently demonstrated intelligence, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to our community.

Tiffani is exceptionally well-prepared, strategic, and thoughtful in her approach to governing. She takes the time to understand complex issues, asks insightful questions, and carefully considers not only the immediate implications of decisions but also their long-term impacts and potential unintended consequences. She recognizes that good public policy requires more than good intentions.

One of Tiffani’s greatest strengths is her ability to work collaboratively with people who bring different perspectives to the table. She is guided by strong values without being constrained by ideology. She listens, respects differing opinions, and remains focused on finding practical, effective solutions. These qualities are especially important in today’s political environment.

Tiffani is also deeply engaged with the community beyond her work on the Town Council. She regularly attends community events, listens to residents, and makes herself accessible to the people she serves. Her presence at these gatherings reflects her genuine interest in understanding the experiences, concerns, and aspirations of West Hartford residents.

Tiffani understands that public service is about responsibility, relationships, and results. I have tremendous confidence in her ability to represent West Hartford with integrity, thoughtfulness, and with a clear understanding of the needs of our community.

She has earned my respect and trust, and I know she will be an outstanding State Representative.
