To the Editor:

This year, voters in West Hartford’s 18th House district have a clear and compelling choice. Tiffani McGinnis offers real-life experience, a strong record of public service and advocacy for women’s rights. She has business experience and has served our community well on the Town Council.

Tiffani is a proud Democrat who listens and fights for mainstream values, state tax relief, economic growth, and opportunity. Tiffani consistently stands up against Trump’s extremist agenda that costs our town and our residents so much. She will be ready on day one to work for all of us at the State Capitol.

By contrast, her Republican opponent has no real experience for the office he seeks. He mouths political platitudes, hides his Republican affiliation, and welcomes support from extremists like the so-called “Family Institute.” He completely fails to reject Trump’s assault on democracy and our economic well-being.

Tiffani McGnnis is the new voice we need in the State Legislature for the 18th District, our town and our state.
