Two students from Northwest Catholic High School, including one who is a West Hartford resident, have been selected as National Football Foundation Scholar-Athletes for the Northern CT Chapter.

Spencer Merkel of West Hartford and Cooper Lorenz of Suffield, both seniors at Northwest Catholic High School, have been selected as Scholar-Athletes by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, Northern CT Chapter.
Lorenz and Merkel were selected for outstanding football performance, academic achievement, and school leadership.
They will be honored at a banquet on May 20, 2018 at the Aqua Turf in Southington.
