Nutmeg Sate Financial Credit Union is celebrating its new West Hartford location with a $5,000 giveaway to the school that receives the most votes from Jan. 12-Feb . 16, 2017.

Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union is celebrating the Grand Opening of its newest location in West Hartford Center, 973 Farmington Ave. As part of the opening, Nutmeg will be donating $5,000 to one of West Hartford’s 16 public schools. Each of these schools has been pre-registered online at www.Nutmeggrandopening.com where voting will be held.
The school with the most votes at the end of the voting period will win $5,000 for the project of their choosing.
“The town of West Hartford has strong community ties,” says John Holt, President and CEO of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union. “As we prepared to open, we received such a warm welcome from the town that we want to show our thanks by giving back.”
Voting will begin on Thursday, Jan. 12 and end Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at noon. Voting is open to the general public and votes can be cast once per day. Family, friends and community members are all encouraged to go online and support their local school.
The winning school will be announced on Friday, Feb. 17.

The ribbon cutting celebration for this location is planned for Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. This branch is the first of its kind for the credit union as it will have a primary focus on educating members on how to bank with technology and the ease of use for its online e-Services.
