Park Road Businesses Join Together to Support Toys for Tots Campaign

Thirteen businesses in West Hartford’s Park Road neighborhood are collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots.

For the third year in a row, the Park Road Association has taken on the lead sponsorship role in the Talk of Connecticut/Brad David Toys for Tots campaign.
Thirteen businesses in the Park Road neighborhood will collect new, unwrapped toys and/or cash through Monday, Dec. 17. Donations may be dropped off at each location during normal operating hours.
Participating businesses include: A Strand Ahead, A.C. Petersen Farms Restaurant, Anthony Nicole Salon, Budget Printers & Embroiderers, Cricket Press, Effie’s Place Family Restaurant, Fuller Yoga, Hall’s Market/Hall’s Kitchen, Plan B, Park & Oak Restaurant, Playhouse on Park, ShopRite, and Victorian Day Spa. Watch for special offerings in exchange for contributions!
On Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 5-9 a.m., Brad Davis will broadcast his Talk of Connecticut show on WDRC-AM 1360 live from Effie’s Place Family Restaurant. Businesses will be delivering their collections during this time, and the general public is welcome to drop off their contributions during the broadcast.
The Park Road Association is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the Park Road neighborhood by maintaining the aesthetics and safety of the community, bringing people together through events, and improving business promotion on Park Road and the surrounding streets.

The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity which was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps in 1991.
