The Pond House Café will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Culinary Training Programs run through Community Partners in Action with locations at the Kitchen at Billings Forge and Zest 280. One-hundred percent of proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the programs.
The Pond House Crab Fest is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Pond House Café. The Pond House will be laying down the newspaper and grabbing the mallets for this good old-fashioned crab dinner. The event will be family friendly with options available for land lovers and children as well.
Tickets must be purchased in advance on the Pond House website, www.pondhousecafe.com.
“Giving back to the community has always been at the heart of the Pond House. We have collaborated with Community Partners in Action since we opened and are thrilled to be able to continue to support their efforts,” said Marketing Director Erin Stein.
The fundraiser ties in to the Run Louis Run (RLR) Campaign.
What is RLR?
Pond House Café Owner Louis Lista turns 60 this year. To celebrate he has set a goal to run in the Philadelphia Marathon this coming November. Louis has also set an even bigger goal of raising $60,000 by race day! All of this money will be donated to CPA’s Culinary Training Program.
Louis and the Pond House have had a long-standing collaboration with Community Partners in Action and their Culinary Training Program is dear to his heart which sparked the creation of “Run Louis Run”!
