The New Park Avenue Transit Area: Planning & Design Workshop no. 2, will be held Thursday, June 9, at the Elmwood Community Center in West Hartford.

Residents are invited to attend the second scheduled planning and design workshop for the New Park Avenue corridor on Thursday, June 9, at the Elmwood Community Center.
The workshop will be held in two sessions – at either 3:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Attendees will hear about the progress made in evaluating potential complete street improvements and possible amendments to the zoning ordinances along the New Park Avenue Corridor.
The discussion about enhancing pedestrian and bicycle connectivity and building a more vibrant neighborhood will also be continued.
Approximately 40 people attended the first workshop on April 19, and organizers are hopeful that many will attend and provide input on Thursday as well.
The Elmwood Community Center is located at 1106 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, and the workshop will be held in Room 110.
